NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- One poll has Republican presidential hopeful John McCain leading Democrat Barack Obama in Virginia by 7 percentage points, but another poll shows Obama leading. A poll by Christopher Newport University conducted Sept. 10- Sept. 14 has McCain leading 53.8 percent to Obama's 46.2 percent, The (Newport News, Va.) Daily Press reported Thursday. Among independent voters, McCain leads 52.9 percent to 47.1 percent. The poll has a margin of error of 4.38 percent. A P

I recently read a great whitepaper published by Avanade – “CRM and Social Media: Maximizing Deeper Customer Relationships”. The whitepaper was based on a Coleman-Parkes Research survey of 541 executives in North America, Europe and Asia. While the whitepaper focused on CRM, there were some interesting findings regarding the use of Social Media internally for employee collaboration and communication. More than two out of three people worldwide tuned in for the Beijing Olympics. Nielsen Media Research says 4.7 billion viewers globally saw at least some of the 17 days of TV coverage last month. This audience was one-fifth larger than the 3.9 billion who watched the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
